Available in black and silver, the Ring Video Doorbell 2 offers camera resolution up to 1080p. The previous model featured 720p. It also includes an improved infrared night vision mode.

The Ring Video Doorbell 2’s most promising new feature, however, is the replaceable battery. Previously, you needed to bring the doorbell into the house for recharging if you didn’t have it hardwired to an existing doorbell system. The system comes with one rechargeable battery pack. Additional packs are priced at $29.

Other features include adjustable motion sensors and Live View on-demand video and audio.

The $200 Ring Video Doorbell 2 is available now through the Ring website. The original model remains available and is now priced at $179 alongside the Ring Video Doorbell Pro at $249.
